The Project tab in the top-right of the Project Dashboard header opens the project-level actions menu.
The menu has four actions:
| Action | What it does |
|---|
| Manage Users | Add or remove people and change their project role. |
| Edit Project | Re-open the project wizard with the current values prefilled. |
| Clone Project | Create a copy that starts from the current projectβs configuration. |
| Delete Project | Permanently delete the project after a typed confirmation. |
Manage users
Choose Manage Users to open the Manage users in Project name modal.
The modal is split into three columns β Admins, Contributors, and Viewers β that show who currently holds each role on the project.
To invite someone:
- Search the workspace user list with Search and select a user.
- Pick a Role from the dropdown.
- Click Invite.
The three roles map to clear permissions:
| Role | What they can do |
|---|
| Admin | Full access, including deletion rights. |
| Contributor | Can edit the project, but not delete it. |
| Viewer | Can inspect the dashboard and the mapping view, but cannot change anything. |
Edit a project
Choose Edit Project to re-open the project wizard with every field prefilled from the current project. The wizard starts on the Location step and you can move freely between Project Details, Building Details, Calculation Prerequisites, Reference Area, and Speckle Configuration to change whatever you need.
The breadcrumb at the top of the page reads Projects βΊ Project name βΊ Edit so it is always clear that you are editing an existing project rather than creating a new one.
Clone a project
Clone Project is the fastest way to start a new project that shares most of its configuration with an existing one β for example, when you want to compare two design variants of the same building.
The clone flow walks you through the same wizard as creating a project, prefilled with the source projectβs values. Adjust anything that should differ in the clone β location, calculation type, areas β and finish the wizard to save the new project. The original is unchanged.
Delete a project
Deletion is permanent. The project, its mappings, and its reports cannot be recovered. Clone first if you want a backup.
To delete a project:
- Open the Project menu and choose Delete Project.
- In the confirmation modal, type the exact project name shown in bold above the input field.
- Click Delete project to confirm. Use Cancel or the Γ to abort.
The Delete project button stays disabled until the typed name matches exactly β this is the safeguard that prevents accidental deletions.
