The viewer shows the geometry that has been published into the project’s models. It is the quickest way to find out what an element actually is, whether it is mapped, and which parts of the building carry the most carbon. Open it from 3D model in the project rail, or from the link in the dashboard’s summary strip.

Inspecting an element

Inspect an element

Click any element to open Inspect element. It reports the type, family, and category that came from the authoring tool, and whether the element is Mapped or Unmapped.
  • Zoom frames the selection; Isolate hides everything else; Deselect clears it.
  • Under Materials, every material on the element is listed with the EPD it is mapped to. Change EPD re-maps it without leaving the viewer.
  • Open in full mapping jumps to the row in Material Mapping.

Colour the model by impact

The viewer can shade the model by emission intensity instead of by material, which makes the hot spots obvious at a glance.

Emission intensity

The legend doubles as a filter: pick a type to highlight it in the model, drag the range handles to narrow the band being coloured, and Reset range puts it back.

Find what is not mapped

The mapping filter turns the model into a checklist — how many elements are mapped, how many are incomplete, and how many are untouched.

Filtering by mapping status

Switch between All, Unmapped, Incomplete, and Mapped, then step through the model with Next unmapped until nothing is left.
Unmapped geometry contributes nothing to the result, so a model that looks complete can still be hiding a gap. This filter and the % MAPPED bar are the two places that gap shows up.
