A construction in Real-Time LCA is a multi-layer build-up — for example, an external wall, a HEB column, or a wood I-joist — composed of two or more materials with thicknesses, quantities, and shared metadata. Constructions let you map a model element to a whole assembly rather than picking each layer manually every time.
