The Faroe Islands currently apply the Danish BR18 (2023) building regulation for building-level climate documentation. Real-Time LCA exposes the same BR18 (2023) calculation type as is used in Denmark, with no local divergence.

BR18 (2023)

  • Reference study period: 50 years.
  • Indicator: Global Warming Potential (GWP), kg COโ‚‚-eq per mยฒ GFA per year.
  • Threshold: 12 kg COโ‚‚-eq / mยฒ / year.
  • Output: BR18 Excel export.
See the Denmark page for full BR18 methodology details, lifetime table behaviour, and limitations โ€” they apply unchanged to projects located in the Faroe Islands.

Level(s) and Custom

Level(s) and Custom are also available โ€” see Level(s) and the overview of Custom calculations.

Limitations

No locally adapted variant of BR18 exists for the Faroe Islands at this time. If the Faroese authorities issue a divergent national regulation in future, it would appear here as an additional calculation type.
