> Countries supported in Real-Time LCA via the Level(s) framework and Custom calculation types only — no national regulatory calculation type configured.

The following countries currently expose **Level(s)** and **Custom** as their only pre-configured calculation types in Real-Time LCA. Where a national regulation exists but is not yet implemented, it is noted below — use the [Custom](/methodology-and-compliance/) calculation type and configure modules, indicators, and thresholds manually in the interim.

## France

France's **RE2020** (*Réglementation Environnementale 2020*) introduced mandatory embodied-carbon limits for new residential buildings, effective from 1 January 2022. It covers the construction stage (A1–A5) and sets per-building-type carbon thresholds that tighten in steps through 2031.

RE2020 is not yet implemented as a dedicated calculation type in Real-Time LCA. For French projects requiring RE2020 documentation, use the **Custom** calculation type and set the module scope and threshold to match RE2020's requirements for your building type.

## Netherlands

The Dutch **MPG** (*Milieuprestatie Gebouwen*, or Environmental Performance of Buildings) is a mandatory whole-building environmental performance requirement under the Building Decree (*Bouwbesluit*). It uses a shadow-price weighting across multiple environmental impact categories rather than GWP alone, and has applied to new residential buildings and offices since 2013, with tightening limit values over time.

MPG is not yet implemented as a dedicated calculation type in Real-Time LCA. For Dutch projects requiring MPG documentation, use the **Custom** calculation type. Note that a full MPG calculation requires weighted environmental costs across multiple indicators — not just GWP — so the platform's current output covers a subset of what MPG formally requires.

## Italy

No national regulatory calculation type configured. Use **Level(s)** or **Custom**.

## Spain

No national regulatory calculation type configured. Use **Level(s)** or **Custom**.

## United Kingdom

No national regulatory calculation type configured. The UK is not an EU member state but the [Level(s) framework](/methodology-and-compliance/levels) remains applicable — it is based on EN 15978, a European (not EU-only) standard, and is widely used as a whole-building LCA reference in the UK industry alongside the RICS Whole Life Carbon Assessment standard. Use **Level(s)** or **Custom**.

***

For projects in any of these countries, the [Level(s) framework](/methodology-and-compliance/levels) is the recommended pre-configured starting point — it uses the full EN 15978 module set and produces results in a structure that is meaningful across all EU member states and beyond.
